Creativity and Courage: Finding Meaning Through Making

Oct 27, 2025

Explore how creativity builds courage, confidence and connection. Director, Editor, and former Musician Peter Bromfield joins Zak Sylvester to discuss finding meaning through making.

Webinar Details

Thursday 11 December - 18:00-19:30.

Overview

For many of us, creativity fades as life gets louder.

We stop drawing, building, playing, and in doing so, lose something deeper: the space to express who we are.

In this webinar, Peter Bromfield, Director, Editor, and former musician, joins Zak Sylvester to explore how creativity can reconnect us to purpose, courage, and joy.

Through years leading creative teams and storytelling projects across film, music, and advertising, Peter has seen how the creative process builds confidence, empathy, and meaning, especially when life feels uncertain.

This is a conversation about rediscovering expression, about what it means to make rather than perform, and about how creativity helps us feel alive, connected, and human.

About the Conversation

Peter and Zak will revisit their creative journey together, from early collaborations at Kingston and HP, to powerful storytelling projects like “Everyday Heroes - Dele Alli meets Paul Seal” which helped draw awareness to the great work that UK Charity Special Effect has done to support all gamers to do what they love, no matter what they have gone through.

Together, they’ll discuss:

  • How creativity and curiosity can build confidence and belonging.

  • The role of play and experimentation in mental and emotional wellbeing.

  • Why young men need spaces to create, not just compete.

  • How creativity teaches collaboration, courage, and compassion, lessons that last long after the project ends.

This is a conversation about creativity as a way of living, learning, and understanding ourselves and others.

Why Attend

  • Explore how creative expression can build confidence and connection in young people.

  • Learn how storytelling and collaboration foster resilience and emotional intelligence.

  • Discover practical ways to bring creativity and curiosity back into your own work, teaching, or parenting.

Join the conversation as part of our webinar series: Conversations That Matter, and rediscover the courage to create, and the meaning that comes from making something that matters.
