Day 8 - Dreams #DailyGratitude
Oct 8, 2025
A reflection on the power of dreams, how imagining what excites us about the future can bring purpose, direction, and aliveness to our daily lives.

Every weekday morning, Zak goes live on his community, Take Action Daily, to chat with members about the daily word of gratitude and the key question. Enjoy reading today's summary from the live call below.
This morning’s Take Action Daily call was one of those rare conversations that leaves you thinking long after it ends. The word of gratitude was Dreams, and our question was simple yet powerful: What dream are you working toward today?
It opened a space for honesty.
Community members spoke about giving themselves permission to dream again, not just within the limits of logic or practicality, but beyond them. Someone described how dreams give our actions direction, that without something bigger to reach for, discipline can lose its shape. Another spoke about that strange space between dreams, when one chapter closes and the next hasn’t yet begun. We’ve all felt that at some point, the uncertainty, the restlessness, the quiet hope that something new will emerge.
What I love about mornings like this is the reminder that dreaming isn’t reserved for children or idealists. It’s the foundation of growth. Life gets busy, responsibilities build, and it’s easy to stop imagining what could be. But taking even a few minutes to think about what excites you about the future can shift everything.
For me, this community is part of that dream, a space to reflect, share, and grow together. Every conversation like today’s brings that vision to life in ways I couldn’t plan for.
If you can, take ten minutes today to sit with this question:
What dream are you working toward right now?
Don’t overthink it. Let it be bold, imperfect, even impossible, that’s what gives it power.
Have a great day.
