Day 3 - Support #DailyGratitude

Oct 3, 2025

A reflection on the power of support, inspired by Ubuntu. True support means being present, giving unconditionally, and helping others grow through connection.

Every weekday morning, Zak goes live on his community, Take Action Daily, to chat with members about the daily word of gratitude and the key question. Enjoy reading today's summary from the live call below.

Today’s Take Action Daily theme was Support, a reminder that none of us get through life alone.

We began the morning reflecting on what support truly looks like when it’s given and received with intention. It’s not about fixing someone’s problems or offering advice they didn’t ask for, but about presence — being there, listening, and showing care without condition.

The conversation was filled with powerful examples. One community member spoke about the influence of great men such as Nelson Mandela and Sir Viv Richards, who demonstrated the strength of giving unconditionally to their communities. Another shared how he planned to reconnect with people he hadn’t spoken to in a while, simply to remind them that they were appreciated. That act alone is one of the purest forms of support.

We also reflected on the philosophy of Ubuntu, which teaches that “I am because we are.” It’s a principle that reminds us how deeply our lives are intertwined. To support others is, in many ways, to support ourselves — because when one person grows stronger, the whole community benefits.

Support is not always grand or visible. Sometimes it’s a text, a kind word, or simply checking in. It’s about being reliable, consistent, and kind in the moments when others might need it most.

So today, take a moment to consider: Who can you support? Maybe it’s someone who needs encouragement, or perhaps it’s you, giving yourself permission to rest and recharge.

Have a great day.
