Day 5 - Change #DailyGratitude

Oct 5, 2025

A reflection on how change shapes growth, from shifting mindset to embracing small adjustments that move us forward with purpose and renewed perspective.

Every weekday morning, Zak goes live on his community, Take Action Daily, to chat with members about the daily word of gratitude and the key question. Enjoy reading today's summary from the live call below.

Change is one of the few things in life we can always rely on. It happens constantly, often quietly, and it rarely asks for permission. Yet the way we respond to it shapes everything.

During today’s Take Action Daily call, we reflected on the idea that change can be both uncomfortable and empowering. Sometimes it comes from within, when we make a conscious decision to grow. Other times it comes from the world around us, forcing us to adapt. Either way, it moves us forward.

One community member shared how he is shifting his mindset ahead of the Amsterdam Marathon. After a challenging build-up filled with injuries and setbacks, he spoke about choosing to focus on what he can control rather than what he cannot. His story was a reminder that change is not just about new circumstances, but new perspectives.

The call also sparked a change within our own community. After reflecting on how we could make the daily experience more engaging, we made a small but meaningful adjustment to our format. It was a simple example of how growth often begins with reflection followed by action.

Today’s discussion reminded me that change is less about what happens to us and more about how we meet it. When we stop resisting and start responding, it becomes a teacher rather than a threat.

Ask yourself today, what is one small change you can make that will have a positive impact on your life or the lives of those around you?

Have a great day.
